At Axle & Armor, some of our favorite projects are the ones that grow organically—and this July 2024 project for Peggy Fox is a perfect example of that.
What began as a simple bathroom renovation quickly evolved into a full-home transformation built on trust, craftsmanship, and results that truly impressed.
Starting Point: The Main Bathroom Renovation
On July 6, 2024, we kicked things off with a full renovation of the main bathroom. The scope included:
- Installation of a brand-new bathtub
- A modern vanity upgrade
- New tile flooring
- Custom wainscoting with a clean tile trim finish
The goal was to create a space that felt fresh, durable, and timeless—and the finished result delivered exactly that. The combination of neutral tile tones, clean lines, and detailed trim work created a bathroom that feels both modern and warm.
When Great Work Leads to More
After seeing the finished bathroom, Peggy was thrilled—and that’s when the project expanded.
She asked us to continue the work into additional areas of the home, including:
- A spare bedroom
- Hallway updates
- And eventually… an entirely new bathroom upstairs
Building a Bathroom from the Ground Up
The upstairs bathroom was a true transformation. The space started as a completely gutted area—no finished structure, no fixtures, just a blank slate.
We:
- Framed out the walls from scratch
- Built the layout for functionality and flow
- Installed all necessary plumbing and structural elements
- Completed the full bathroom build-out
Turning an empty space into a fully functional bathroom is always rewarding, and this one was no exception.
Hallway & Finishing Details
The project also included updates to the hallway, tying everything together with consistent finishes and thoughtful design touches. Clean trim work, updated doors, and cohesive color choices helped unify the home’s overall look.
The Result
What started as a single bathroom renovation became a multi-space upgrade that elevated the entire home. From tile work to framing, every phase of the project reflects the same attention to detail and commitment to quality that defines Axle & Armor.
Why This Project Matters
This project is a great example of how:
- Quality craftsmanship builds trust
- Small projects can evolve into larger transformations
- A well-executed renovation can inspire homeowners to reimagine their entire space
We’re proud to have been part of Peggy’s home transformation and grateful for the opportunity to continue expanding the project as her vision grew.
